hello!!!! samusplat here!!! happy 2026!!!! despite the fact that we're already 18 days in.... oopsie.

anyways, wanted to update you guys on the current state of project astro!!! for the 2 people that care probably.

redesigned a bunch of people!!!! look at them!!!!

some of these are nearly identical from the last time, except cynthia (who ditched the old dinky ass mask completely for an, in my opinion way cooler masquerade mask, makes her way more fun to draw expressions for and in general i think she's way more unsettling like this), may (who got some new earrings and some melanin, yeah literally, wanted to make her look way more like her sister, roy..... yes ill get to it in a minute, feel like she looks way better like this in her original design she really didnt look like her AT ALL lol) and roy (who straight up just changed gender. yeah not kidding, i think her being a girl works way better for her character. that's all. oh she got a cool bandana headband thing too). other than that i just ever so slightly tweaked the artstyle a bit.... including the addition of eyebrows!!!! everybody thank shoko!!! this is lowkey such a game changer, giving the characters thick eyebrows makes them SO MUCH MORE EXPRESSIVE HOLY SHIT.

im so glad that i finally found an easy, quick and satisfying way to draw these characters now i can actually do stuff with them now!!! they're so much more expressive!!!!! and cute!!!! them having big ass eyes really adds to their expressivity lmao

i finally finished the script for it, probably gonna start animating it in like july maybe (and by animating it i mean its just gonna be an animatic, kind of like that one indie show on youtube pretty pretty please i don't want to be a magical girl, you should totally check that one out too its really cool), in the meantime, i have no fucking clue on what to do with voice actors lol, i already want 3/4 characters to be voiced by me (guido, kevin, sat and the onion), maybe i could get my friend sid to voice diego but as for the rest of the cast i really have no idea on how i could look for other vas, my posts get like 10 likes max on twitter so i doubt that even IF ill post a tweet ill get anyone up to voice in my stupid cartoon

ehhhhh ill probably figure out a way to do it.... maybe i could release an italian dub first (if you didnt know im italian yeah), i could get a bunch of people from my mom's theater club to do some voice work. that's probably gonna be way easier yeah. here's some voice claims idk

uhhh other then that i dont really have anything else so..... happy 2026!!!! really hope that im able to draw way more know (im lying ill probably pump like 5 or 6 drawings #lying)
